Alexis De Greiff, vice-rector of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a science historian who received his doctorate degree from London University, has published a brief account of the ideas that led Abdus Salam to lead the effort for the creation of ICTP. Titled “Abdus Salam: A Migrant Scientist in Post-Imperial Times,” the article was published in the 21 January 2006 edition of Economic and Political Weekly.
